Apple was ruling the brand list for five years but now Google has overtaken the first place. Samsung, Microsoft, and Facebook are also included in the top 10.
The ranking is annually compiled by Brand Finance. The research takes into account different factors such as the worth of firm brand in terms of power and money in next few months, sustainability, and financial stability.
It found that in the last year Google’s value has increased by 24% whereas Apple’s decreased by 27%. Estimated brand value of Google is $109,470m and for Apple it’s $107,141m.
Amazon is on third place like last year, Microsoft is on fifth, Samsung is on sixth and Facebook is on ninth place.
In terms of power, Lego has overtaken Disney to clinch the top position. Disney had toppled Lego last year from its first ranking.
This change in ranking is made possible through diversification of products. Lego has invested in gaming and film which was not done in the past.
Other powerful brands included in the top 10 slots are Visa, Nike and Ferrari.
