While KFC is being engaged in selling ice cubes cold drinks, and there has no doubts, KFC does serve some quality food to customers, however BBC conducted an experiment research on validity of cold drinks restaurants providers. They also grab sample from KFC from chain in Birmingham, UK.
After thorough investigation, it is found that KFC’s cold drinks containing ice cube drawing high level of bacteria. BBC researcher team was being served in KFC with drinks.
The sample was examined by Dr Margarita Gomez Escalada in Leeds university. He told the programme
The presence of faecal coliform suggests that there’s faecal contamination either on the water that made the ice, or the ice itself, and so it increases the risk of getting sick from consuming this ice.
Although most of the samples were found to be below standard, but it is KFC, bigger name in Fast Food who caught in programme, being selling ice cubes containing bacteria.
KFC higher officials responded to the situation, that it’s not a pleasant outcome. Actually it made us extremely disappointed. Considering circumstances, it had launched immediate investigation, it certainly a more serious situation then we are expecting it to, he added.
